Specialising in designing gardens around pools and formal gardens, Carey Cavanagh has had her own business for the last seven years since completing her Landscape Design Diploma at Burnley Horticultural College. All her designs are hand drawn and inspired by her extensive knowledge of plants as well as a wide range of reference material. "I prefer not to use a computer because programs can limit your creativity, whereas drawing brings out a greater range of options and takes the personality of the client into consideration."

In designing a project Carey involves her clients from the initial planning meeting, through design and drafting to the final landscape plan. As a professional gardener Carey also does all the planting and project manages the construction work.

Carey's exceptional customer service has been won her an Australian Achiever Award for excellence in customer relations. "I really enjoy meeting and dealing with clients and therefore have a good rapport with people."
